CLASSMATE BIO
Brian Raney
Currently, I am a highly successful father. I define that as neither of my kids have been to jail or hauled home by the police - of course they’re only 9 (Elise) and 7 (Drew). My daughter, Elise, is the spitting image of my younger sister Jeanne - it’s uncanny and unfortunately for me is she has a similar disposition. My son, Drew, looks more like my wife’s family: blonde hair and big brown eyes. Drew has just spent the last year recovering from a broken femur (big leg bone) - it’s a “funny” story you can ask me about at the reunion, but it involved ice skates, the neighbor’s pond, and me getting broken elbow. I’m also a highly successful husband (we haven’t been to jail or hauled home by the police). My wife, Liz, is a high school social studies teacher, so we do get the occasional TP’ing of our trees and bushes. Luckily, she’s fairly well liked by her students, so they do a half-hearted job and graciously leave the rolls on the steps. We live in the Eagan, Minnesota (a ‘burb of the Twin Cities). I ended up in MN, after settling on the U of MN as my final college - I had to try a few others first. I work for a company now called Accenture; it’s most well known as the company who’s Super Bowl ads created the “Huh?” response.
Also, since many of you know my brothers Keith (1 year older) and Pat (2 years younger), and my sister, Jeanne (8 years younger): all of them live the small town of Pinedale, WY doing the hunting, camping, hiking, fishing, and skiing thing. If you want more info. on these guys stop me at the reunion or drop me an email at
raney@raney.org.
PS. Okay, so I lied: within the last year I have been busted (US Forestry
Service cops) and hauled home by the police (Eagan). These also are good fodder
for humorous discussions at the reunion.
