Val LaBonte

 

 

 

June, 2006:

Currently living on "Seavers' Palace" in Racine Harbor on Lake Michigan. Closing on home in Caledonia in July. Husband (Mike)of 22 years transferred to Mitchell Field in Milwaukee. Three children: Jason (28) Trade Analyst for the I.C.E. in Atlanta, GA / Jamie (24) Asst. Administrator of Admissions for Brown-Mackey College Ft. Wayne, IN / Jackie (21) Customer Service Rep for American Pharmaceuticals in Chicago, IL.

Val is still "Val in Stitches" for 13 yrs. now. Business is great - no sign of retirement in the near future. Resigned teaching position at the Tech due to the move. Looking forward to getting settled in our new home, but loving that we "have to" live on our boat for a while yet!

Planning to be at Waverly on Friday but won't make the Sat. shindig. See you there!
 

 

July 2005:

Love to spend time on our boat (Seavers' Palace) on Winnebago. In business for 12 years as "Val in Stitches", making and selling designer line of purses & accessories. Eight years teaching Home-Based Business course I created for Fox Valley Tech.

Married to Mike Seaver. Have three children. Jason, son, graduated U.W.M. Accounting Major. Jamie, daughter, Junior at U.W.M. Business Marketing Major. Daughter, Jacqueline, Junior at Saint Mary’s Central. Val manufactures her own signature line of Handbags & Accessories by the name of “Val in Stitches” (See website www.valbags.com ) which have found their way all over the world to such places as Switzerland, Australia, Africa and Bermuda! She has a strong market in this area as well as Milwaukee and Illinois. She has been featured on “Good Morning Wisconsin” several times , Eyewitness News Channel 5, as well as in the Post Crescent and “Good Neighbor Program” on WHBY . She has created a course for starting and working a Home-Based Business for the Fox Valley Tech and teaches the course herself. She also travels as a seminar speaker teaching the same program to Professional Groups. Hobbies are: Water skiing, Snow Skiing, Snowmobiling, Volleyball, and spending summer weekends on our yacht, “Seavers’ Palace” on Lake Winnebago. Oh, by the way, No, they’re NOT like the “Monica Lewinsky” bags and I don’t need to do what she did to become well-known!!
