June 2005:

This September my husband David and I will be married 30 years (ya hoo!). In the fall of 1997 I finally went to college and in May 2001 I graduated from UW Stevens Point with a degree in Music Education (K-12 General Music and 7-12 choral) as well as vocal performance. Since then I have been teaching middle school choir and general music at the Waupaca Middle School, where I am also the drama/musical coach. This coming fall I will be starting my masters degree in drama. Our son Jarrod will turn 29 this fall and has been married two years to his lovely wife Laura. They live in St. Paul where Jarrod is looking for a church call as he is a Lutheran pastor. No grandchildren yet, but we are very hopeful. Our daughter Abigail will be 25 in July and after receiving her masters degree is the Program Director for Shetek Lutheran Ministries in Slayton, MN. What we ever did to have our children run off to Minnesota is a mystery to us!!!

Old:

David and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in September 2001. It doesn’t seem like it’s been that long. I still work part-time at my co-op job from high school; not the same office, but the same work. Soon I will be done with that because in 1997 I went to college and when I grow up (May of 2002) I will be a music teacher. I attend UW Stevens Point where I am in vocal performance and music ed K-12 General and 7-12 choral. I also sing in a semi-professional contemporary Christian group based in Waupaca called “One Achord”. We are four OLD women who have a great time with our ministry. My husband just keeps on working to get everyone through college. He’s been a real trooper the last few years and I’m lucky to have him. We have two children, Jarrod who is 23 graduated from Luther College in Decorah Iowa in 2000 and has finished his first year at Luther Seminary in St. Paul. Our daughter Abigail (middle name is Adams after President John Adams wife) will be 20 on July 5 and just completed her sophomore year at Luther College where she has a Political Science Major and Russian Minor. She is preparing to intern at the White House next year. For fun we go camping, do a bit of theater and sing. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone and am really grateful to Brad and everyone who has put this together. Thanks a bunch.
